Puppy Killer Tortured Dogs In Hotel Room
After discovering puppies and dogs on Facebook, a man allegedly tortured and killed them in numerous hotel rooms. Tyler Hastings Berry, 27, was recently charged with murdering two puppies and throwing their carcasses in a garbage can in his Hyatt House hotel room.

According to a police document acquired by KVUE, hotel workers discovered the dead puppies in the bathtub after Berry checked out in August 2021. Hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia were also found inside the room in northwest Austin, Texas.

The puppies had not eaten for two days before they died, according to an autopsy report.

Berry was wanted on an active warrant in one of them in relation with a pit bull discovered dead in a DoubleTree Suites toilet in June 2021. Before death, the pit bull seemed to be’strangled or partially drowned,’ according to an Austin Animal Center doctor.

According to the affidavit, “during that 24-48 hours, the dog would have been slowly dying and enduring an unbelievable amount of pain and suffering, until its eventual death.”

Police officers were told by the suspect’s girlfriend that he routinely found puppies and pets on Facebook. ‘But then they’d vanish,’ the document claims.

‘Berry told her he threw them away or that they ran away,’ detectives claimed, adding that his statements about the dogs were always “hazy.”

Berry was detained earlier this week in Buda, Texas, which is part of the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metropolitan region.

According to court records, he faces two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals in the deaths of the puppies and a third-degree felony cruelty to animals charge in the death of the pit bull.
